All contraction data recorded in MyLabour is stored exclusively in a local database on your device (Android Room database). This data:

Note on Android backups: If you have Android's built-in device backup enabled (Google One Backup), your device may back up app data to your Google account as part of your device backup. This is a device-level setting outside our control. You can disable app backup for MyLabour in your Android settings if you prefer.

4. Partner sync and Wear OS

MyLabour's shared tracking feature uses Google Nearby Connections to create a direct peer-to-peer connection between devices via Bluetooth and local Wi-Fi.


5. Permissions

MyLabour requests the following Android permissions, used solely for the features described:

6. Third parties

MyLabour does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-sharing services. We do not use:

The app is distributed via Google Play. Google's own terms apply to the Play Store platform itself, but MyLabour does not pass any user data to Google beyond what is standard for any Android app installation.


7. Children

MyLabour is intended for use by adults. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.


8. Medical disclaimer

MyLabour is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. It is a tracking and logging tool for informational purposes only. The contraction patterns detected (5-1-1, 4-1-1, 3-1-1) are based on general NHS and healthcare guidelines, but labour is unique to every individual. Always follow the specific advice of your midwife, doctor, or healthcare provider. If you experience an emergency, call 999 immediately.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update this page and revise the "last updated" date. Given that we collect no data, any changes are likely to be minor clarifications.
